Trade Action

Trade actions are only important if you have extra Resources or Civilization available, or if your current Agriculture score is greater than the number of territories your are required to feed.

Houses are NOT required to take Trade actions if they do not wish to.

If one or more of those applies to your house on a  given month you can establish a trade agreement with another house. Some options for trade agreements are as follows:

  • Trading Resources to receive Agriculture
  • Trading Resources to receive political favors (i.e: paying another House to use their Civilization score to take Political Actions to assist your House)
  • Trading Resources to hire another house for the Mercenary Support Military Action
  • Trading Agriculture to receive Resources
  • Trading Agriculture to hire another house for the Mercenary Support Military Action
  • Trading Agriculture to receive political favors (i.e. paying another House to use their Civilization score to take Political Actions to assist your House)
  • Trading Political favors  to receive Agriculture (i.e. offering to use your Civilization score to take Political Actions to assist another House in exchange for Agriculture)
  • Trading Political favors to receive Resources (i.e. offering to use your Civilization score to take Political Actions to assist another House in exchange for Resources)

Alternately a House could decide to simply give Resources or Agriculture as a gift to another House that month, perhaps buying potential goodwill in the future or taking steps towards establishing a friendly alliance. Regardless of why, giving Resources or Agriculture to another House is also treated as a trade action.
